British Motor Museum | Primary Virtual Sessions

This autumn term, our Learning Team have partnered with Playground Games and will be hosting two exciting STEM Careers Days just for students in KS2, packed with hands-on activities, interactive tours and inspirational talks. These events will give students the chance to explore real STEM skills and discover how their interests and school studies could grow into future careers.

Each day runs from 9:30 to 14:30 and is hosted at the British Motor Museum, home to nearly 400 historic vehicles and one of the world’s largest industrial archives.

Students will enjoy an interactive talk about careers in the games industry from Becky Kalam, Community and Outreach Project Manager at Playground Games who make 'Forza Horizon 6'.

There will also be the opportunity to explore the Forza Horizon 6: The Experience exhibition to find out more about games industry careers and try out the gaming simulation rigs to see those different roles in action!

The day also includes trails and engaging Museum tours and hands-on workshops with our Learning and Archive Teams, exploring inventions, innovators and the skills needed for future success.

Playground Games Ticket Support Fund

Funding by Playground Games is available to support eligible schools with the cost
of student places, particularly where these costs might otherwise prevent pupils from
taking part. Eligibility is based upon your school’s percentage of Free Schools Meals
exceeding the national average. Limited places available and offered on a first come,
first served basis.

Arts Council England Travel Support Fund

The Museum also offers a travel support fund open to all schools aimed at helping
with the cost of coach transport to the Museum. This has been made possible
through the support of Arts Council England.
