Plenty of Easter egg-citement on offer at the British Motor Museum

The British Motor Museum has a basket full of cracking activities this Easter from 28 March to 12 April.  Find mischievous rabbits on the Great Big Bunny Hunt, get stuck into a crafty challenge, and join one of the interactive family tours.  Visit over the Easter Weekend, between 3 to 6 April, and embark on a traditional Easter Egg hunt searching for eggs around the Museum!

The Great Big Bunny Hunt takes place every day. Children will need to find the cheeky group of Easter bunnies hiding around the cars and note down the name of each rabbit they find - there are six to discover! What’s more, every day during Easter you can Hatch your own Car, where you’ll try your hand at hatching a car from a paper egg base and decorating it with a host of craft materials. 

The Egg-straordinary Family Tour runs from 28 March - 2 April & 7 - 12 April when families can join the costumed explainers for a family-friendly tour exploring some of the eggs-traordinary vehicles in the collection. Along the way you’ll discover fun stories behind the cars and learn about the clever bits of technology that helped get them on the move. 
On Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout the Easter holidays, at 11am and 2pm, visitors can see some of the car collection in their natural habitat: on the road! A range of Museum cars, including a 1971 Lotus Europa, 1985 MG Metro 6R4 Clubman and 1997 Mini Hot Rod, will be on the move around the  Museum grounds. Which one will you see?

Easter Access Day, which takes place on Thursday 9 April, is dedicated to highlighting accessibility for all who visit the Museum. There will accessible activities and initiatives, including hands-on crafts, tours, SEND resources and sensory bags. 

Emma Rawlinson, Lifelong Learning Officer at the British Motor Museum, said, “Join us this Easter when we have a basket of cracking family fun activities for our younger visitors to enjoy, along with our traditional Easter egg hunt around the Museum over the Easter weekend!”

Museum entry is just £18 for adults in advance or £21 on the day, £16 for concessions in advance or £19 on the day, £9 for children (5-16 years) in advance or £10 on the day and under 5s are FREE.
