Car dealer turned TV presenter Mike Brewer takes the hot seat to chat cars and shows with Paul Cowland, during an exclusive ‘Evening with’ event here at the British Motor Museum!

For over 27 years, Mike has been gracing our TV screens showcasing his impressive automotive knowledge and knack for buying and selling all kinds of motors. His career as a presenter began with shows such as Deals on Wheels, Pulling Power and Driven, with the series he’s most well known for, Wheeler Dealers, kicking off in 2003 and leading to subsequent spin offs including Wheeler Dealers - Trading Up, Wheeler Dealers: Dream Car and Wheeler Dealers World Tour - with a second series in production!

Mike’s achievements go beyond the success of his shows; in 2000 he was part of a team that set a new British 24-hour Endurance Land Speed Record in a Volvo S60 T5. Over the years he has won various Automotive Journalist awards, including, in 2004, the Royal Television Society Midland Centre Award for Best in Vision Personality.

On 12 May he'll be here at the Museum talking about his life as a wheeler dealer, sharing ‘behind the scenes’ stories about moments that didn't make it to screen, and enthusing about some of the cars that did.

Returning to the Museum to ask the questions and get the very best stories from Mike will be fellow TV presenter and self-confessed car hoarder Paul Cowland. There will also be an opportunity for audience members to pose questions to Mike on his career and motoring tales during a Q&A, followed by the opportunity to have a car service book or similar item signed by Mike!

This is sure to be a lively, entertaining and amusing evening in the company of two die-hard car enthusiasts.

As if an evening of hearing from one of car-TV’s biggest names isn’t enough, visitors will also be able to explore the Museum's collections and browse our latest feature exhibition 'The Gallery'. There will even be a tasty hot supper, prepared by the Museum's amazing team of chefs, to enjoy before the main event.

Order of the Evening

Guests are invited to arrive from 5.15pm, entering through the Main Entrance. Refreshments will be served in the Museum Welcome Gallery, before an opportunity to take a look around the Museum’s collection until around 6.30pm.

From 6:30pm, enjoy a delicious hot buffet-style supper, served on the first-floor Gallery. A cash bar will also be available on the night.

At 7.30pm, guests will be invited into the Conference Suite to take their seats for the main event. Near the end of the talk, there will be an exciting opportunity to pick the brains of both Mike and Paul in an audience Q&A, followed by a signing session with Mike before the evening comes to a close. There will be a 15 minute interval planned around half way through the evening and an expected finish time of approx 10.30pm.

All proceeds from the evening go to support the work of the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust - the charity behind the British Motor Museum, so you can treat yourself to a fabulous evening knowing that you’re helping to support the Museum and its vital work at the same time.
