Join us at the British Motor Museum on Access Day to enjoy our fantastic collection on a day dedicated to maximising accessibility for all!
Access Day offers a whole host of exciting accessible activities like specially adapted crafts, as well as relaxed hours, and a quiet room. These are in addition to our existing initiatives such as SEND & sensory bags and Touch & Access Tours, which ensure that our spaces are accessible and inclusive at all times
This is just one of the ways we aim to create the best Museum experience for those with additional needs, along with continued reviews, upgrades and changes to the Museum to make it as welcoming as possible, regardless of visitors’ requirements.
All activities are free with general admission.
Disaster has struck in Santa's Holiday Hangar! Rudolph has been hard at work doing pre-flight checks, when he sees a huge oil leak on Santa's sleigh.
“This is a disaster!” Santa groans. “We'll never get this fixed before the big night - Christmas is cancelled!”
“Oh no, it isn't!” comes a cry from the door. Professor Pickle and Doctor Pumpkin would never take this lying down. With the Professor's brilliant mechanical skills and the Doctor's techno know-how, they've got everything they need to fix the sleigh, but they need your help! Join the dynamic duo as they dive into a range of festive experiments, and get Christmas back on schedule with the power of super science! No need to pre-book, just sign up at the Family Activity Station when you arrive.
Come along and join the Learning Team on one of our specially adapted Touch and Access Tours. These sensory guided tours bring the collection to life, allowing visitors to get up close to a number of the cars in the Museum.
Sign up for a Touch and Access Tour at the Family Activity Station and join your tour from the designated meeting point by the Museum Pay Desk.

This fantastic facility is designed to accommodate those with accessibility needs, with specialist equipment, such as a hoist and extra space for carers.
