Community Engagement

Here at the British Motor Museum we are always seeking to develop new partnerships and relationships with local community groups regardless of age, cultural background or ability. We achieve this through ACE funded project work, outreach, events and exhibitions at the Museum. Recently we have worked on projects with the Warwickshire branch of the Alzheimer’s Society, Banbury Health and Wellbeing Centre, local Dementia Cafes and youth groups.

We offer a programme at the Museum developed for community groups such as older people, those with special needs or disability or groups for whom transport costs are a barrier to visiting. The offer includes Museum visits with guided tours and activities to suit the needs of individuals and groups. An outreach programme is also offered for those of you who cannot come out to visit us.

We also attend local community events such as ‘The Great Warwickshire Show and Tell’, taking our handling collection out to share with people. If you have a community event that you would like to discuss with us or you feel your group or organisation has an idea for a project you’d like to share or be involved with do get in touch by contacting the Community Engagement team.
