Family Tour – every day at 1.30pm
Help our royal reporters find the next news scoop as they take a tour around the amazing royal cars in the Museum. Meet at the Family Activity station at 1.30pm.
If you miss the family tour look out for the royal reporters admiring the cars in the Museum!
When our royal reporters aren’t taking tours, you will find them admiring the cars and if you stop and chat to them, you’ll be sure to get the inside story!
Make your own British ‘royal’ car - every day until 1.30pm with last entry at 1pm
Our younger visitors love getting creative, and we like to set them a challenge. This half term we’ll provide a Union Jack cup and a selection of recycled materials, and you just need to bring your imagination! Will you make a limousine or a carriage? Drop into our Learning Space between 10am – 1.30pm and create your own British ‘royal’ car to take home.
When you’ve finished your creation, you can choose to enter it into our competition to win a family cream tea. We’ll take a photo and your details, and entries will be judged at the end of the holidays with the winner announced on social media.
Suitable for 4+ years plus with adult supervision
The ‘Road Map’ Family Trail – every day
Pick up our ‘Road Map’ Trail at the Family Activity Station and explore the cars in the collection that are linked by name to different destinations around the world.
When you’ve completed the trail, travel back to the Family Activity Station to check your answers and collect a reward sticker.
NOTE: All activities are included in Museum admission. There is no need to pre-book, just drop by the Family Activity station to find out what is going on when! Activities are suitable for 3+ years, unless otherwise specified.
The half-term week draws to a close with the National Metro & Mini Show on 5 June. This family friendly Show is the perfect way to celebrate the Jubilee weekend - with hundreds of these popular British cars on display outside the Museum, along with a crowd pleasing stunt show!
