J12 M40
British Motor Museum
For the James Bond film 'Skyfall' a total of 12 Defender double-cab pick-ups were used making the chase scene in Istanbul. The damage on each car was carefully choreographed so the witness marks of its fight with an Audi – and the scenery – built up in the correct sequence. This Belgian specification 110 is one of the most heavily scarred and used in the final part of the opening scenes.
A specially converted Defender was used for the more exciting driving action, with a pod mounted on the roof from which the stunt driver, Ben Collins, controlled the car.
