J12 M40
British Motor Museum
An icon of the JDM world (Japanese Domestic Market), the GT-R that was released in 1989 was the first Skyline to receive four-wheel-drive and the famed RB26DETT six-cylinder engine. The model gained fame when a stripped down R32 entered the Japanese Touring Car Championship in 1989 and won every race it started - 29 in a row.
The Skyline GT-R became the star of Nissan performance vehicles and was an extremely popular export. The cars that were intended for the JDM often have higher power and are very well maintained making them extremely desirable.
