This involves telling life stories with cars, through art. We chose to connect with two communities, one a group of young people with autism, learning disabilities and people with other differences. They all enjoy art and creativity. The second group are the ‘Elders' a mix of two communities, one from an African-Caribbean Dominoes group and the other an isolation and loneliness group in an inner city. All the Elders have a story or two to tell us about life and cars! ![Life-in-Cars-artwork-on-a-table](https://www.britishmotormuseum.co.uk/hs-fs/hubfs/MUSEUM%20WEBSITE/Blogs/Museum%20Blog/Life%20in%20cars/Life-in-Cars-artwork-on-a-table.jpg?width=1080&name=Life-in-Cars-artwork-on-a-table.jpg) A small team of our Volunteers collected and recorded stories from the Elders for the young people to create artwork from in various mediums such as storyboarding, hand printing and ceramics. ![Life-in-cars-clay-modeling](https://www.britishmotormuseum.co.uk/hs-fs/hubfs/MUSEUM%20WEBSITE/Blogs/Museum%20Blog/Life%20in%20cars/Life-in-cars-clay-modeling.jpg?width=3024&name=Life-in-cars-clay-modeling.jpg) The finale will be an exhibition of this journey and work to the general public in late August 2022. The Exhibition will be a body of work encompassing the story of stories that have embraced by the young people as artist.   ### In this section ##### Directions - [> Download Directions](https://www.britishmotormuseum.co.uk/hubfs/How-to-find-us-Map-2026.pdf) - [> Plan your route](http://bit.ly/20QQe1C) ![British Motor Museum](https://www.britishmotormuseum.co.uk/hubfs/BritishMotorMuseum_September2019/Images/bmc-logo-dark.png) British Motor Industry Heritage Trust, Registered Charity in England & Wales: 286575 Banbury Road Gaydon Warwickshire CV35 0BJ If using a Sat Nav for directions we recommend you enter the British Motor Museum as a point of interest rather than using the postcode. ![Designated Outstanding Collection](https://www.britishmotormuseum.co.uk/hs-fs/hubfs/doc.png?width=240&height=240&name=doc.png) ![Accredited Museum](https://www.britishmotormuseum.co.uk/hs-fs/hubfs/aceam.png?width=158&height=150&name=aceam.png) ![Heritage Fund](https://www.britishmotormuseum.co.uk/hs-fs/hubfs/lot.png?width=240&height=240&name=lot.png) ![Fundraising Regulator](https://www.britishmotormuseum.co.uk/hs-fs/hubfs/fr.png?width=240&height=74&name=fr.png) ![Kids in Museums](https://www.britishmotormuseum.co.uk/hs-fs/hubfs/kim.png?width=240&height=240&name=kim.png) ![Arts Council England](https://www.britishmotormuseum.co.uk/hs-fs/hubfs/ace.png?width=240&height=56&name=ace.png) ![Visit England](https://www.britishmotormuseum.co.uk/hs-fs/hubfs/ve-1.png?width=104&height=150&name=ve-1.png) ![Royal Automobile Club Historic Awards 2025 Winner Museums & Collections](https://www.britishmotormuseum.co.uk/hs-fs/hubfs/MUSEUM%20WEBSITE/Museum%20Web%20Images/Logos/RACHA_2025_Winner_Museums%26Collections_72dpi.jpg?width=283&height=399&name=RACHA_2025_Winner_Museums%26Collections_72dpi.jpg) ![Archives Revealed](https://www.britishmotormuseum.co.uk/hs-fs/hubfs/ar.png?width=240&height=68&name=ar.png) ![Green Tourism Silver](https://www.britishmotormuseum.co.uk/hs-fs/hubfs/gt-1.png?width=115&height=150&name=gt-1.png) - ![Doc](https://www.britishmotormuseum.co.uk/hubfs/BritishMotorMuseum_September2019/Images/doc.png) - ![Museum](https://www.britishmotormuseum.co.uk/hubfs/BritishMotorMuseum_September2019/Images/am.png) - ![Herritage Lottery Fund](https://www.britishmotormuseum.co.uk/hubfs/BritishMotorMuseum_September2019/Images/lotteru.png) - ![Fundraising Regulator](https://www.britishmotormuseum.co.uk/hubfs/FR_Fundraising-Badge_Primary_300ppi.jpeg) - ![Arts Council](https://www.britishmotormuseum.co.uk/hubfs/BritishMotorMuseum_September2019/Images/ACE_grant_png_black-(2).png) - ![Visitors Attraction](https://www.britishmotormuseum.co.uk/hubfs/BritishMotorMuseum_September2019/Images/ve.png) - ![Visit England Best Told Story Accolade](https://www.britishmotormuseum.co.uk/hubfs/MUSEUM%20WEBSITE/Museum%20Web%20Images/Logos/VisitEngland-Best-Told-Story-2021-22.png) - ![Archives Revealed](https://www.britishmotormuseum.co.uk/hubfs/BritishMotorMuseum_September2019/Images/ArchiveNews-Picture1-ArchivesRevealedLogo.png) [![Facebook](https://www.britishmotormuseum.co.uk/hubfs/BritishMotorMuseum_September2019/Images/facebook.svg) ](https://www.facebook.com/britishmotormuseum) [![Instagram](https://www.britishmotormuseum.co.uk/hubfs/BritishMotorMuseum_September2019/Images/instagram.svg) ](https://www.instagram.com/britishmotormuseum/) [![Tripadvisor](https://www.britishmotormuseum.co.uk/hubfs/BritishMotorMuseum_September2019/Images/tripadvisor.svg) ](https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Attraction_Review-g1651501-d214059-Reviews-British_Motor_Museum-Gaydon_Warwickshire_England.html) [![Youtube](https://www.britishmotormuseum.co.uk/hubfs/BritishMotorMuseum_September2019/Images/youtube.svg) ](https://www.youtube.com/britishmotormuseumgaydon)
