“ An incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and professional team who worked well with us to understand our specific requirements....

The annual Engineering Solutions Live conference is a pinnacle date in the event calendar for engineers across the UK,  its brings together suppliers, exhibitors and engineers to share the latest industry knowledge.

The one-day event took place on Thursday 12th March, just before the Covid-19 lockdown,  and saw over 1,200 professionals from across the UK come together at the Museum.

Organised by MA Business, part of the Mark Allen Group, a key requisite was to find a venue which offered a central Midlands location with unrivalled access via the motorway network and complimentary parking. With a large number of guests, it was important that the venue had the capacity and flexibility to transform the space to suit the requirements of the event.

The British Motor Museum’s expert events team perfectly met this brief. Delegates were registered at the events exclusive reception area, where there was also space for private refreshments and for partners and suppliers to exhibit. The main exhibition was held in the conference and exhibition suite and exhibition gallery. The venue also offered a series of smaller meeting and lecture rooms, where delegates could attend seminars focusing on identifying solutions and discussing the latest techniques and new technologies in the sector. Attendees were also able to take a complimentary tour of the Museum and view some of the best examples of British engineering in automotive history.

Julie Knox, event manager at MA Business, commented: “I have previously booked events at the British Motor Museum and knew it would be the perfect location to host the 2020 Engineering Solutions Live event. I knew the capabilities and flexibility of the space and what could be delivered, and I was excited to use it again following its recent refurbishment. By providing a space which was all on one level, delegates were able to roam freely and make the most of circulating and networking with exhibitors, as well as attending engaging talks in the seminar rooms.

“When sourcing a venue for the event, it was incredibly important that we had facilities which offered the very best and had a central location in the Midlands to offer easy access for guests to the venue from across the UK. The British Motor Museum offered just that, as well as the added bonus of complimentary parking for delegates.

“The event went seemlessly, which is was in no small part thanks to the staff at the British Motor Museum. They were incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and professional and worked well with us to understand our specific requirements. We had the confidence to be able to share our vision for the event and the events team worked with us to refine the logistics to make this a reality.

“We have worked with a number of venues across the years and the British Motor Museum certainly stands out from the crowd. The whole process from booking to the event was seemless and the teams communication was exceptional throughout. The team also helped us to put Covid-19 preventative measures in place, including sanistiser stations, temperature checks on arrival and signed declarations showing visitors had not recently travelled to restricted zones. This flexibility and forward thinking to adapt the venue to the changing rules and regulations was a huge bonus and I would certainly recommend them to others looking to book their next event.”
