Fuel their imagination this Summer holiday with a range of family activities for all the family to enjoy!

This Summer we’re celebrating the 100th birthday of the Austin Seven with 7 marvellous activities which uncover this great little car’s history and take a look at some of its exciting adventures! Come along to the Museum for the chance to explore the NEW Austin Seven exhibition ‘Small car. Big history: 100 years of the Austin Seven’. Have fun with the interactives, meet the the Austin Adventurers for a fun family tour and complete your visit by making your own Austin Seven to take home with our brand new cardboard cut-outs!

Small car. Big history.
100 years of the Austin Seven
This new exhibition opens in time for the summer holidays and is a celebration of this small car that made a big impact on Britain’s motoring history. Enjoy the fascinating stories of 7 of our Austin Sevens along with some fun interactives - from a fabulous photo opportunity to an exciting racing game, this exhibition has something for everyone.

Austin Adventurers Family Tour – every day at 11.30am
Come and meet Adventure Annie and explorer Dr Edmund Deadrock and discover the stories of the cars in the collection that have been on exciting expeditions. Meet at the Family Activity station at 11.30am.

The Austin Seven Jigsaw Trail – every day
The challenge for this summer’s jigsaw trail is to create your own Austin Seven. Pick up the jigsaw at the Family Activity Station and explore the Museum to find the different pieces. When you’ve completed the jigsaw travel back to the Family Activity Station to share your creation and collect a sticker.

Make your own ‘Austin Seven’ car - every day until 3pm with last entry at 2.30pm
Our cut-out cars are always popular with visitors so to celebrate this centenary we have created a brand NEW cardboard cut-out of an Austin Seven! We know this little car has a lot of personality, so there will be lots of colours and decorations to choose from!

Name your Austin Seven
Austin Seven models were often given ‘friendly’ names such as Ruby and Chummy. Take a look at the names of the cars in the exhibition and then come up with a name that suits the one you’ve created.

Family photo opportunity
Step back in time and pose for a picnic with the Austin Seven. Snap the moment and share on Instagram.

Colouring fun
In the family activity area there will be lots of colouring sheets to choose from. Why not colour in a racing and a family model – get inspiration from the colours of the cars in the exhibition or just choose your favourites!

NOTE: All activities are included in Museum admission. There is no need to pre-book, just drop by the Family Activity station to find out what is going on when! Activities are suitable for 4+ years, unless otherwise specified.
Suitable for 4+ years plus with adult supervision
