The British Motor Museum hosts a many BMC/BL car clubs including the Mini Cooper Register, Historic Marathon Rally Group, Austin Healey, MG and Triumph Clubs to celebrate BMC/BL racing and rallying achievements from 1955 to 1980.

The show features various models of ex-works cars prepared by the Abingdon Competition and Special Tuning Departments, for a rare chance to bring them together again at the Museum.

Some of the featured vehicles include  Mini Coopers, Morris 1800s, MGBs, Austin Maxis, Austin-Healey 3000s and MG Metro 6R4s along with various experimental cars, prototypes and supporting vehicles.

There will also be the chance to meet designers, mechanics and more people involved in this motor sport and rallying golden era. Veterans are expected to attend from the BMC Competition and Special Tuning Departments at Abingdon, Warwick Healey works and Downton Engineering.

Inside the Museum are the Monte Carlo Rally winning Minis of 1964, 1965 and 1967 along with the first production Mini '621 AOK' and the last Mini produced at Longbridge 'X411 JOP'.

Ticket access

Tickets for this show include access to the Museum and Collections Centre with over 350 cars on display for you to explore.

The Museum is open from 10am to 5pm and the Collections Centre is open from 10am to 4pm.

 

Buy your ticket in advance for the show for just £10 per person, giving a space to display your car along with entry to the show and the Museum buildings.

Additional tickets are available if you wish to bring extra passengers.

Advance vehicle entry closes on Friday 31 July at 12 noon. Normal museum prices will apply after that date and on the day.
