350 trucks rev up for truck fun at the Museum!

Up to 350 modern and classic trucks will rev up for two days of truck nostalgia at the British Motor Museum on Saturday 9 & Sunday 10 September. Now in its seventh year, the Retro Truck Show is one of the Museum’s most popular shows and features some of the best modern classic trucks manufactured between 1960 and 2000, including trucks from manufacturers Volvo, Scania, Daf, Foden and ERF.

In addition to the trucks there will also be a large indoor and outdoor dedicated trade area featuring photos, models and brochures etc. On the Saturday evening there will be live entertainment, charity raffle and a licensed bar. Camping is available on the Friday and Saturday nights.

Tom Caren, Show Manager at the British Motor Museum stated “The Retro Truck show is a popular event with a high standard of trucks entered. It is hard to believe some of these are over 40 years old as it only seems like yesterday that these trucks were all working for a living on our roads. We would encourage even those that don’t own a truck to come along and enjoy the nostalgia! Seeing so many magnificent trucks from different decades is a fantastic spectacle to see.”

All trucks that fall into the age category are welcome whether they are show trucks, working trucks or work in progress! There are no trophies or judging, just the opportunity for like-minded enthusiast’s to get together and admire the trucks on display.

Parking for the public is available on the nearby Jaguar Land Rover car park with regular double decker bus shuttles to and from the event, or, alternatively the show is just a five minute walk away.

Tickets for the show cost up to £17 for adults, up to £9 for children and up to £45 for a family. Advance discounted tickets can be purchased up to 12 noon on Friday 9 September. Gift Aid Season tickets, Tesco Club cards or any other promotional offers are NOT valid on this day.
