World War I History Weekend

10am - 5pm
Adults £14, Child £9, Family £39
Battle Bus

Join us for a weekend of discovery as we commemorate the centenary of the First World War at the British Motor Museum.

Step back in time as the British Motor Museum transforms into World War I Britain where visitors will be guided around the Museum with a special family trail ‘Kitchener’s Mission’. Activities along the way include decoding secret messages, bandaging wounds in the Casualty Clearing Station, Zeppelin spotting and making a Princess Mary Christmas Gift Tin to take home.

Explore B2737- the Battle Bus, on loan to us from London Transport Museum, and meet our ‘Tommy’ in the trenches and learn about the conditions soldiers lived in on the front lines. Visit our Field Hospital and discover how injuries sustained in battle led to the discovery of new medical techniques and the foundations of plastic surgery!

The Royal Warwickshire Regiment 1914 - 1918 Living History Group will also be on hand with dynamic displays and re-enactments.

A memorable day out for the whole family.
