There is something for everyone this Christmas at the British Motor Museum. 

Our Festive Family Fun activities start from 8 December with our Christmas Craft Weekends, Elf Tours and Christmas Trail.   

Christmas Craft Weekends

8 & 9 December, 15 & 16 December, and 22 & 23 December

Come and make a festive Robin, Santa’s Sleigh or a Snowman then attach it to pullback wheels and watch it go! Weekends only, 10am – 3pm.

Elf Tours

Weekends only 
8 - 23 December

Every weekend our Christmas Elves will be stopping by at 1.30pm to take families on a special festive tour of the Museum.

Christmas Trail

8 - 23 December

Can you help Martin the Mechanic get Santa’s sleigh back on the road so Santa can deliver all your presents!

Santa's sleigh is broken and the reindeer have escaped! Start in the Collections Centre and pick up your jigsaw board. You will find all the jigsaw pieces you need to fix Santa's  sleigh as you explore the Collections Centre. Then head over to the main Museum where you need to find 7 naughty reindeer hidden around the Museum and record them on your trail sheet.  At the end of the trail you will be rewarded for helping Santa with a Christmas treat! Running from 8 December every day during Museum open times.

Meet the Explainers

Monday to Friday 10 - 21 December

Find out how Boxing Day got its name when you meet our costumed explainers Lady Edwards or William, her Chauffeur on our Time Road (Monday to Friday). Hear all about the Christmas boxes of goodies they will be delivering to the servants on Boxing Day. William may even get one himself once they're finished!

All activities are included in normal Museum admission and are suitable for 3+ years

Please note: We close for Christmas from 5pm on 23 December and re-open at 10am on Wednesday 2 January. Click here for our New Year family activities.
