Computing Saturday Club

6 weeks of 1 hr workshops for 5 - 11 year olds
10.30am - 12.45pm
£45 per child 6 x 1hr workshops
Coding Workshop

Join us at the British Motor Museum for our Computing Saturday Club. Your child will have the opportunity to expand their knowledge of computing over a 6 week period of exciting workshops, and get the chance to explore our extensive collection of British Cars. Suitable for 5 – 11 year olds, children can enjoy a fantastic Saturday Club where they will consolidate and improve their knowledge while having fun and making new friends.

The Saturday Club will run from 10.30am – 11.30am for 5 – 8 year olds and 11.45am to 12.45am for 9 – 11 year olds. The workshops will be staffed by ComputerXplorers and the British Motor Museum Saturday Club Team, all of whom are CRB checked.

Parents will be given weekly update sheets which explain what the children have achieved and give tips on how to further their learning.

Cost per child is £45 for a 6 week block with free entry to the Museum for one accompanying adult. 

SESSION 1:
Age 5-8 years (KS1) 10.30am – 11.30am

3D Animated Movies

Children will create a 3D animated adventure and turn it into a movie to share!
Using cool characters like clown fish, mermaids and pirates at sea or elephants and giraffes in the jungle, their 3D adventure begins with this super fun class. Bring your imagination and we’ll provide the 3D glasses for an eye-popping time!

SESSION 2: SOLD OUT
Age 9-11 years (KS2) 11.45am – 12.45pm

Build Amazing 3D Models with SketchUp

Develop the mansion of your dreams with performance cars in the driveway, a race track or your own skate park. During this six-session program, students will learn to draw 3D shapes, develop them into models and import images. Make your project pop with 3D!

Club size limited to 16 students with a trained technology instructor. All classes develop critical thinking and problem solving and encourage collaboration and co-operation and are aligned with the National Curriculum. They are hands on and interactive and stretch children’s creativity while building essential technology skills and reinforcing core academic skills – educational and fun!

ComputerXplorers

Our Saturday Club is run in partnership with ComputerXplorers, a specialist education technology company running computing classes and after school clubs for schools throughout the Cotswolds and Wyvern area. ComputerXplorers also work with schools in Warwickshire, Worcestershire and Oxfordshire and all activities are linked to the National Curriculum focusing on combining learning with fun.
