Automotive History in Watercolour

This one day workshop will guide you through all the necessary steps to create your own watercolour masterpiece.

You will be taken through the basic techniques of painting cars and auto memorabilia in watercolour, including practical hints and tips. Get to grips with colour, shade and light as well as basic composition. Receive tuition and guidance on methods for painting metal and polished surfaces and look at ways to create new angles - all designed to improve your painting.

The workshop will be led by Richard Cook, a recently retired art teacher and accomplished pencil sketcher with many years’ experience.

Workshop level:  Beginner
Group Size: Max: 14 tickets
Workshop times: Sunday 15 April 10.30am - 4.30pm

What to bring with you

Essential: Desirable but not essential:
- Brushes - Kitchen roll
- Suitable Paper - Masking fluid
- Pencils - View finder (picture mount)
- Paint - Water pot
- Eraser - Backing board bigger than A3
- Masking tape or gum tape - Artists easel (if you use one)
- Foldable seat/kneeling pad - Camera

- A range of drawing pencils
- Water
- A3 boards

Please note: Lunch is not provided, however there is a café or you are welcome to bring your own packed lunch.
